Black Chana

  • Soak black chana overnight with salt
  • Boil next day until tender; drain
  • In frying pan, put olive oil – when hot, fry some cumin seeds and dry red chili
  • Put in finely chopped onions – fry until brown
  • Add garlic and ginger (minced)
  • Add salt, pepper, coriander (seeds or powder – tsp), garam masala (1/2 tsp), turmeric; stir well
  • Add in the chana, quickly fry
  • Turn down heat
