For the love of food
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp. dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. rice wine
- 2 tbsp. yellow bean paste
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tsp. five-spice powder
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp. finely grated ginger
- 1 kg. pork fillet
- 1 tbsp. honey
- Put sugar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice wine, bean paste, sesame oil, five-spice powder, garlic, ginger and pepper in a bowl; mix them together
- Add pork to bowl; cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight
- Drain marinade into a pot, add honey, simmer
- Cook pork, basting with marinade
