Gruyere Puff

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • pepper
  • 3/4 cup grated Gruyere cheese
  • 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, flour, salt and pepper
  3. Stir in cheese
  4. In 9-inch ovenproof skillet, melt butter
  5. Pour in batter
  6. Transfer to oven
  7. Bake until puffed and dark golden, about 30 minutes
